Andrea and James met when Andrea had a 10 week
engagement in Osaka, Japan and needed to add a guitar player to her ensemble. At
the completion of the engagement they decided to work together as a songwriting
and performing team. Andrea & James are the 1997 winners of The Songwriter's
Guild Presidents Award for Excellence in the Art and Craft of songwriting by
Guild president and songwriter Mr. George David Weiss. (Mr. Weiss is the writer
of such songs as Louis Armstrong's What A Wonderful World, Elvis' Can't Help
Falling In Love, The Lion Sleeps Tonight and many more).
The Rohlehr's are currently artist in residence

education workshops for teachers and students, special music projects, (CD's

the NYC public schools.
These Young Audiences projects have included
working with the NYC Host committee for the 39th Grammy Awards, and being a part
of a specially selected team that assists high school senior to compose songs to
be considered for college scholarships. (The BMG Bertelsmann's $100,000 World Of
