Jon "Pierre" Gee is a
vocalist/songwriter/entrepreneur and producer from Milwaukee Wisconsin. Jon’s
professional singing career began in 1958 playing drums and bongo's in what was
called a spiritualist santified "Church of All Nations" at the time by late 60's
his singing and showmanship began to take center stage as a lead singer Jon
performed with and formed some of the most popular bands thru-out the 60's,70's
and opened with most of the major acts that came to Milwaukee to performed James
Brown, Ike and Tina Turner, Al Green, Moms Mabley, Pigmeat Markum, The
Temptations, B.B. King.
He is founder and president of Kandi Music - an artists management

Hannemann (a/k/a Kat Webb) joined Jon in 1989 as
Vice-president and musical partner. Together they released 'The Time Is Now', as
Jon Pierre Gee and Touch. In 1995 Jon produced Wikkedness a popular female Hip
Hop group. The song “Playa’s Ball” was later featured in the HBO cult cable
classic 'Pimp Up Ho’s Down'. Jon is also performing as lead vocalist with the
reassembled and renamed Motown group Billy "Stix" Nix & Jr. Walker’s All-Star
Band. Kat Webb sings with this group as one of the background singers. There
runs strong traditions and musical roots thru this family blues singer &
songwriter legend Percy Mayfield, on his mother’s side, in 50"s was called the
Poet of the Blues, hits include “ Please send Me Someone to Love,” “Hit the Road
Jack,” for Ray Charles, Jon’s father, roots extend to “Empress of the Blues”
singer Bessie Smith. |

Jon has worked with the musical rock n' roll,
soul, latin and reggae legends of our time through out his career Jerry Butler,
Pete Escovedo, The Tubes, drummer Aynsley Dunbar (of Journey, Frank Zappa fame),
Chi-lites, The Contours, Freda Payne, Four Tops, Martha Reeves, and Reggae
legends Toots & the Maytels and Bob Marley. Jon and Kat's new musical
performance vehicle; Ah'vantSoul is a musical blend of middle eastern, gospel,
classic R&B, soul, country, rock, "smooth" jazz, funk and electronic technology
original music, named Ah'vantSoul.
The musical force that drives Ah'vantSoul, is the future and past; Michael
Reese songwriting partner since 1975 (keyboards and vocals), Robin Gregory
(bass), performed together with Mike Reese and Jon In the 70's band
Impluse, Coley Jackson (drums and vocals) Joe Chapman and Rudy Jacobs (lead and
rhythm guitars), Gina Marie-Seay (vibes, vocals, keyboards, alto sax), Kat Webb
(lead vocals/songwriter together with Jon since 1989), and Jon "Pierre" Gee
(founder/leader, lead vocalist, songwriter and producer). |
