Larry Eugene Thompson
(guitarist/vocalist) was born in
Kansas City, Mo.
He attended Lincoln High school, and then entented Lincoln University in Jeff
City, Mo. and then central Mo. In 1966 Larry T. moved to Oakland, California.
Larry recorded a soul-jazz LP in '80 titled 'I'm Moving On'. It was released independently
in the Bay
Area
on his own label L.E.T. (named after himself). The album features Larry on
acoustic guitar and vocals, Thomas Wallace (bass), Larry Bradford (piano),
Jim
Bradford (drums),
Herman Roque (congas, percussion), Gilbert Ross (percussion) Carlos Lara
(timbalas), Marvin Patillo (drums) and Calvin Keys of Black Jazz fame on
electric guitar.
The title song 'I'm Moving On' and 'My Mothers Daylight' saw a
release on 7-inch. Thompson did not record other projects. |
