Saila's singing aspirations
began to take form when, at the age of seven, she delivered her first solo
rendition of "Amazing Grace" at the Pure In Heart church in her native city
of Detroit, MI. Inspired by the artistry and success of those like Yolanda
Adams, the Clark Sisters, the Winans, Mahalia Jackson, and Shirley Ceasar,
Saila became a driving force in local festivals, talent shows, church and
Redford High School choir. Eventually, she put a hold on her music career to
attend college.
Saila went on to attend college and graduated in Atlanta, GA. Saila, wanting
to get on with her music career, began to
search for every audition in
Saila Rachelle
Atlanta that she could find.
Her hard work paid off in her landing roles in three Atlanta musical plays
and one action play: "I Know The Man", a touring gospel production, "Violet"
an off broadway musical, "SchoolHouse Rock, Live", and "Action Movie II,
Episode I". When the play "Action Movie II, Episode I" ended, Saila began
singing backup for a local gospel singer Anna Naugles.
After singing backup, Saila was not surprised that God called her back to
her gospel roots. After trying to juggle a music/acting career, Saila
decided to focus all her energy in pursuing her career in Christian/gospel
music. She has also shared the stage musically with the great Andrae Crouch,
Lonnie Hunter, Kierra Sheard, BIU, Terry Newsome, Chadwick, Remnant,
Danielle White & many more.
Saila has made a decision in her life to honor God, obey His word, and do
the things God wants her to do in her life. Walking into her newly-found
inspirational journey, Saila has a lot of things for us to witness through
her soulful/urban Christian gospel music. Come join everyone in celebration
of Saila spreading the Good News of God's work.
Saila Rachelle says, "Enjoying the moment and letting God handle the rest
is the key to having peace in our lives. We are free to do and be everything
God has destined for us to be in our lives without having fear." Walking
in her purpose as an Ambassador for Christ, Saila Rachelle has a lot for us
to witness through her music.
Saila Rachelle presently resides in Atlanta,
GA and is apart of a wonderful spiritual family at New Birth Missionary
Baptist Church, Senior Pastor Bishop Eddie Long.
